Best in the West Meetings
September 13, 2013
Big Sky, Mont. (August 20, 2013) - Big Sky Resort will be recognized as one of the 50 "Best in the West" for meeting properties by Meeting Focus magazine in the western region in the upcoming September issue. Meetings Focus magazine polls its readers on what hotels and resorts delivered superlative meeting experience and this marks the 12th year Big Sky Resort has been awarded the "Best in the West".
Properties are judged on the quality of meeting space, guest rooms, guest services and amenities, food and beverage service, high-tech services and equipment, recreational facilities and activities, the efficiency and helpfulness of staff, and overall value and experience.
18 miles from Yellowstone National Park's border, Big Sky Sky has 55,000 square feet of meeting and function space, featuring the Yellowstone Conference Center, and is one of the largest facilities in the state. The versatile meeting facilities include the new Lone Peak Pavilion outdoor reception venue and lodging accommodations from value to luxury for up to 2,000 guests.
Big Sky prides itself in providing productive meetings, scheduling efficiency, festive banquets and, most importantly, satisfied attendees. Big Sky's meeting and convention clientele have been coming back to Big Sky Resort for up to 35 years, speaking volumes to the high level of consistent excellent service. That level of quality was suitable to host the President and Vice President of the United States in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Encouraging networking and making event schedules efficient, the tight knit Mountain Village at Big Sky Resort offers team building activities including a high ropes course, ziplines, paintball, skeet shooting, scenic lift, and more. The 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course is a short ride to the Meadow Village.
The village elevation is 7,500 feet and a tram ride on Lone Peak Expedition: Tram to the Top will land you at 11,166 feet to the summit of Lone Mountain. In winter, Big Sky is a premier ski destination, offering The Biggest Skiing in America with more than 5,500 acres of interconnected terrain and 4,350 vertical feet, and awarded the 2013 Best Overall Resort by OnTheSnow.com's Visitors' Choice Awards.
