Child and Day Care

Our friendly and caring staff welcomes your child to the Lone Peak Playhouse (LPP), right at the base of Big Sky's slopes. Relax and enjoy the area while your child plays with other children in our safe and fun environment. We are a center that operates in conjunction with Big Sky Resort and the Snowsports School. LPP is conveniently located in the Snowcrest Lodge, across the hall from the Snowsports School.

We can care for children from 6 months to 8 years old. Reservations are always recommended. Please provide bottles, formula and baby food for infants. You are welcome to bring your child alternate snacks. Meals are served at the following times:

  • Breakfast/AM snack at 9:00am
  • Lunch at 11:30am
  • PM Snack at 3:00pm

Childcare with Ski Lessons

The Lone Peak Playhouse will dress your child for their lesson & a ski instructor from the Big Sky Snowsports School will pick up and drop off your child at our door. Please have your child at the Playhouse at least 20 minutes prior to lesson time. If your child's ski lesson begins or ends before or after our childcare please be prepared to meet your child with their instructor at ski school's gathering area. Child ski, boot and helmet rentals are available in the Snowcrewst Lodge at Big Sky Resort's rental shop.

Our Philosophy

Lone Peak Playhouse believes that children deserve a vacation too. Our Playhouse offers a caring, safe and fun environment where children can play, rest and enjoy their day. Our different-themed play areas will keep them busy for hours and also spark their imagination and creativity. Lone Peak Playhouse always follows appropriate practices and uses positive guidance and positive reinforcement to encourage and foster personal development.

What to Bring

Each child will receive a small storage cubby for his/her personal belongings.
