The following weather stations are spread across Big Sky Resort's 5,750 acres and are used to measure weather patterns, including wind speed and direction, snowfall, relative humidity, temperature, and more.
The Lobo Weather Station site is located just below the top of the Swift Current chair at 8900’ and measures temperature, 24 hour snowfall, total snow depth and precipitation. The 24 hour snow sensor is cleared daily at 4:00pm.
The Summit Weather Station measures temperature, wind speed and direction from the summit of Lone Mountain at 11,166 feet.
The Bavaria Weather Station is located near the top of the Dakota lift at 9,600 feet and measures temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, 24 hour snowfall, and total snow depth. The 24 hour snow sensor is cleared daily at 3:00pm, access permitting.
