Lianne Kershaw has been practicing yoga for fifteen years and teaching for ten. As a massage therapist she has an extensive knowledge of the body which enhances her teaching skills. She has taught yoga locally in Big Sky and has also travelled to Nepal four times to teach during adventure trekking/yoga trips. Her training includes study at Kripalu Institute and workshops with favorite yoga masters in the U.S. and Mexico which have given her a diverse and well-rounded style of teaching.
Emily Bludman is thrilled to be teaching Kettlebell Conditioning and Ski Conditioning for her fourth season with the Big Sky Wellness Studio. Emily worked as a Personal Trainer in New York City for several years, where she became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist, with specialties in Kettlebells Level 1 and Level 2 training. With a passion for activities and especially snowboarding, Emily is stoked to be a part of the Big Sky Wellness Studio again this winter.
Anna Ourusoff has been teaching yoga for over 16 years, exploring various methods including Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara. She devotes herself to the continued study of elegant and precise biomechanical alignment principles developed through the scientific and living art of Hatha Yoga. Anna's classes empower and support each student's unique differences, limitations, and gifts, emphasizing and supporting the creative expression of the heart. What brings her most joy is to share her knowledge and experience in the hopes of helping students move through life's struggles and cultivate faith that they can open, heal and become more joyfully themselves. Anna co-owns and directs Montana Lotus Yoga in Bozeman: www.montanalotusyoga.com. She teaches in Big Sky, Bozeman, and regionally, leading workshops and retreats.
Rhonda Karl has been a yoga practitioner for 10 years and recently completed her yoga teacher certification in Bozeman, Montana with Nancy Ruby's YogaMotion Academy. Her style of teaching inspires trust and the belief that yoga is obtainable for everyone. Her gentle approach allows students to practice in a safe and nurturing environment that encourages self-awareness and personal contentment. Come as you are, with respect for your body's needs, and enjoy the benefits of this practice which may include balanced posture, increased strength and flexibility, breath control and relaxation.
Allison Gilley has been passionate about Zumba® for 3 years. She is certified in Zumba® Toning, Aqua, Gold and recently obtained her Zumba® Pro Skills. Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Zumba®classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it you'll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! It's easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating. Allison is excited to be a part of the Wellness Studio this winter.
Dani Menter is an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for healthy mind, body, and spirit. Danielle completed her 200 hour teacher training and became Yoga Alliance certified as a Vinyasa instructor in November of 2010 under the masterwork of Angela Boltz with instruction from Anusara master Micheal Fukumura. Danielle teaches on the basis of her own experience that yoga will provide a therapeutic outlet to all lifestyles. Her teaching style explores pushing boundaries while quieting the mind to find peaceful contemplation. As an avid skier and mountain biker, she will support the strength and rehabilitation needed for strenuous days in the mountains. By focusing the breath to support the graceful power of the body, Danielle's enthusiastic teaching style will strengthen the body, liberate the mind, and cultivate the soul. You will leave each practice feeling restored, confident, and invigorated.
Sara McDermott is a Pilates Instructor with a passion for an active, balanced lifestyle and the great outdoors. Sara has worked in the health and wellness industry for 15 years and graduated with a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Montana, Missoula in 2006. Sara discovered the benefits of Pilates in 2002 after a series of running injuries led her to question her biomechanics. Through Pilates she gained awareness of movement and an understanding of posture and gait that not only helped
with her with running but with every movement she made. Along with being a Stott Certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor Sara is also an ACE certified Personal Trainer, Lemond Cycling Instructor and Licensed Massage Therapist.
