Snow Report for Wednesday, January 28th
34" Mid Mountain / 51" Upper Mountain
Powder / Machine Groomed
Good morning skiers and riders!
This is Nick with your Big Sky Resort Snow Report for Wednesday, January 28th. Last night we picked up 3-4 inches of new snow across the mountain. Today we are expecting it to continue snowing through the morning tapering off around mid-day with a high near 32 degrees. Skies should clear a bit this evening becoming partly cloudy with a low around 20 degrees tonight. Today expect winds to be a bit lighter than yesterday blowing in the 10’s to 20’s out of the WNW up on the peak. Last night wind speeds dropped and were blowing in the teens up on the summit before the snow started to fall at about 10pm. This new snow may be a little bit denser than our usual stuff but this is great because it will stick to everything and make it difficult to feel the older snow underneath.
Make sure you make it up here to celebrate hump day with some mid-week powder!
The Mid-Mountain Base is 34” and upper is 51”. For the most up to date information, please call Mountain Services at 406-995-5749.
Have fun, ski safe, and thanks for reading.
Wind: 5 mph from SSE
