Lodging


What is your cancellation policy?

An advanced deposit of 20% of your total is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Should you need to cancel, half of your deposit is refundable 30 days or more prior to arrival.

There will be no refunds for cancellations within 30 days of arrival.

If the resort shuts down, will I get a refund?

If the resort is not operating for the day of your lodging reservation, you will be given a refund for that day.


If the state of Montana closes to visitors or enacts a quarantine for those entering the state, will I get a refund?

Yes, if the state closes to visitors or enacts a quarantine during the time of your booking, you will be refunded for your reservation.


If my home city/county/state enacts a stay-at-home order or quarantine for re-entering the state, will I get a refund?

Yes, with documentation of your residency and the official stay-at-home order or quarantine, you will be refunded for your reservation.


If I get COVID-19, can I get a refund?

With a doctor's note or positive SARS-COV-2 test result, reservations may be refunded on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly regarding your reservation.

Lift Tickets


What is your cancellation policy for lift tickets?

Lift ticket products are non-transferable and non-refundable.


What is your cancellation policy for Stay & Save lift tickets? What happens if I cancel my lodging?

Stay & Save lift tickets are purchased separately from lodging, so if you cancel your lodging reservation, your lift tickets are still valid. All lift ticket products are non-transferable and non-refundable.


If the resort shuts down, will I get a refund?

If the resort is not operating for the day of your lift ticket, you will be given a refund for that day.


If the state of Montana closes to visitors or enacts a quarantine for those entering the state, will I get a refund?

Yes, if the state closes to visitors or enacts a quarantine during the time of your booking, you will be refunded for your reservation.

Season Passes


If the resort closes, will I get a refund on my season pass?

If for any reason our season is shortened, we will provide a credit towards the purchase of a 21-22 season pass, based on the percent that the season has been shortened.


Can I return my season pass if I don't plan on using it?

If for any reason a 20-21 passholder decides to defer their pass for the 20-21 season, the value of their purchased 20-21 pass toward any single pass available for the 21-22 winter season. Passholders must notify Big Sky Resort by December 10, 2020, if they chose to roll over their pass.

Lessons & Guides


What is your cancellation policy?

All lessons and guides can be cancelled or rescheduled more than 48 hours in advance without penalty. Within 48 hours, there is a 50% charge to cancel or reschedule lessons or guides.


If the resort shuts down, will I get a refund?

If the resort is not operating for the day of your lesson or guide, you will be given a refund for that day.

If the resort shuts down during local program sessions, you will be refunded a pro-rated amount for the number of days missed in the session.

If I get COVID-19, can I get a refund?

With a doctor's note or positive SARS-COV-2 test result, lessons and guides may be refunded on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly regarding your reservation.

Refunds will not be given for local program sessions missed due to sickness.

Rentals


What is your cancellation policy?

Rentals can be cancelled before the day of your reservation at no cost. For early returns once you have your rentals, we will refund any remaining rental days.


If the resort shuts down, will I get a refund?

If the resort is not operating for the day of your rental booking, you will be given a refund for that day.

Basecamp Activities


What is your cancellation policy?

Cancelations 48 hours or more prior to a scheduled activity time will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancelations within 48 hours will be refunded 50% of the deposit.

If the resort shuts down, will I get a refund?

If the resort is not operating for the day of your activity booking, you will be given a refund for that day.

Group Sales


What is your cancellation policy?

Please contact your group leader, tour operator, or meeting planner for cancellation policies.


If the resort shuts down, will I get a refund?

If the resort shuts down prior to your arrival, you will receive a full refund for your products purchased through Big Sky Resort Group Sales. If the resort shuts down during your stay, you will be refunded a pro-rated amount for your stay. Airfare is not included with refund packages.
