Big Sky Resort Welcomes Summer with Fun-filled Lineup of Events

Big Sky, Mont. (May 09, 2023) – In the summer season, Big Sky comes alive with beloved traditions – basking in mountain meadows, soaking in summit views, and meandering through alpine forests on foot or by bike. This summer, new events debut on the bustling Big Sky summer scene – including Savor Big Sky, a new food, wine, and spirits festival.


EVENTS

Savor Big Sky, the inaugural food, wine, and spirits festival in the stunning alpine backdrop of Big Sky, Montana, takes place from June 29 – July 2. With events that combine fine food and beverage with Montana’s great outdoors, attendees will have the opportunity to sample from top wineries, distilleries, and breweries coupled with hiking excursions, scenic chairlift rides, and sweeping mountain vistas. Tickets are on sale now.

Also new this summer, guests can enjoy Tuesday Tastings, a complimentary sampling of wines or spirits accompanied by live music. Elevated Wellness also debuts with cycling and yoga on the deck of Everett’s 8800, complete with sweeping Lone Peak views. GOLF

To kick off the summer season, Big Sky Resort Golf Course will open on Friday, May 19, weather dependent. Golf memberships and reservations for tee times are available online now.

The Bunker Deck and Grill at the Big Sky Golf Course will be open daily starting Friday, May 19 for breakfast, lunch and dinner.


BIKING AND SCENIC CHAIRLIFT RIDES

Big Sky’s lift-serviced downhill mountain biking has trails for all levels and abilities - from gutsy tech trails to flowy, mellow cruisers. Three aerial lifts, Swift Current 6, Ramcharger 8, and Explorer, and the Middle Basin bubble carpet are scheduled to operate for biking and scenic rides daily 10 am - 5 pm, from June 10 through September 17, weather dependent. Bike Park passes and daily lift tickets are available for purchase online now.


BASECAMP ACTIVITIES

Summer activities including the Nature and Adventure Ziplines, guided hikes, guided scenic lift tours, Escape Room, bungee trampoline, giant swing, gemstone mining, mini-golf, and the climbing wall will also open on June 10, weather dependent.


DINING

Vista Hall, Vista Bar, Westward Social, Chet’s Bar and Grill, Carabiner, and Mocha in the Huntley will be open daily beginning June 10, offering a wide variety of cuisines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The Umbrella Bar in Mountain Village will be open on weekends beginning July 1.


LODGING
The Summit Hotel and Huntley Lodge will begin welcoming guests for the summer season on June 10.
