FAQs

  • Tram Access is only included in Big Sky Resort Gold and Double Black Passes, and next winter’s single-day or multi-day lift tickets purchased from the resort. Guests with other forms of access such as Ikon, Mountain Collective, or other Big Sky Passes will be able to access the Lone Peak tram via Autocharge on a per-ride cost basis.

  • We offer a range of season pass products that provide options to fit different budgets and access needs. As part of our continued efforts to manage rider frequency and the ski experience off Lone Peak, only certain pass products include tram access. If frequent rides on the tram are in your plans for next winter, we encourage you to consider either the Gold or Double Black Pass.

  • When looking at passholder behavior from the past few seasons, it was clear very few were taking advantage of the unlimited early and late season access included with Flex passes. With that learning, to give our guests more options, we have split the former Flex Pass into two separate pass products – the choice of a 3-, 4- or 5-day Freestyle Pass, and a separate Twin Tips Pass offering unlimited early and late season riding. Guests can combine the Freestyle Pass and the Twin Tips Pass at checkout to achieve the same access as the former Flex Passes.

  • Anticipated dates for 2024-25 season are:

    • Early season: Opening Day 11/27/24 - 12/13/24
    • Late season: 4/1/25 - Closing Day 4/27/25

Opening & Closing Days are subject to change based on conditions.

  • 2023-24 Gold, Double Black, Black, and Blue Passes are still available for purchase. Please call our Mountain Services office at (406) 995-4486.
