Base Areas
There are three ways to access the lifts at Big Sky Resort. Each location features shopping, dining, and ticket and lesson offices. Explore all the base areas at Big Sky Resort: Mountain Village, Madison Base, and Montage.
Mountain Village
The Mountain Village is Big Sky Resort's central base village where guests converge to dine, shop, rent gear, buy lift tickets, access activities, and more. Four hotel properties and several condo options are located in the Mountain Village.
Access mountain terrain from multiple chairlifts in both the winter and summer seasons.
Winter only
Madison Base
Located a quick drive away from the core of Mountain Village or connected to the mountain by the Madison 8 lift, the Madison Base is a small family-oriented base area at Big Sky Resort with parking right next to Madison Mercantile , Headwaters Grille , lessons, rentals, and more.
Montage Big Sky
Located on the southern aspect of Big Sky Resort, the Montage is a hotel with public access to restaurants and shopping. Enjoy lunch at the lodge and return to the Mountain Village or Madison Base before lifts close if you are not booked as a hotel guest.
