Getting Here & Around
Plan with confidence—whether you're flying, driving, or a mix of both, getting to and around Big Sky is easier than ever.

Flying to Big Sky
Big Sky is the most well-connected ski destination in the country, with direct flights from 19 unique cities and 21 airports to BZN. Bozeman now offers more flights from the Northeast than any other ski destination and arrivals before noon from all over the country for same-day skiing.
Don't forget to book ground transportation from the airport—ridesharing apps are not a reliable source of getting around in the area.

Driving to Big Sky
Big Sky Resort is easily accessible off of Montana Highway 191, connecting to Bozeman and I-90 in the north and West Yellowstone and I-15 in the south. Find Big Sky Resort using your preferred map service to get directions. If you drive to Big Sky in the winter, make sure you have appropriate winter tires and feel safe driving in snowy conditions.
Driving Directions:

Parking & Shuttles
Find parking at Big Sky Resort quickly and easily. Most parking is free. In the winter, further Mountain Village parking lots are serviced by shuttles that pick up and drop off outside of the Exchange building every few minutes between 8 AM and 6 PM.
Parking does fill, especially on weekends, holidays, event days, and powder days, so plan ahead and check our parking page to stay up-to-date on parking status.
Getting Around
Big Sky offers many options for getting around town and between Big Sky and Bozeman. For the most flexibility, we recommend booking a rental car for pickup at the Bozeman Airport.
Your lodging might require a car to access if it's not in the Mountain Village, Montage, or Town Center.
Public Transportation
If you don't want to rent a car, there are still easy ways to get around. There are many local transportation providers that can get you from Bozeman to Big Sky and beyond. In Big Sky, the Skyline Bus service offers free rides between the slopes and Town Center.
We also highly encourage finding a carpool with the GoGallatin App.
Please note that ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are not available in Big Sky. Make sure to book transportation or rental cars well in advance to ensure availability when you arrive.
Base Areas
There are three ways to access the lifts at Big Sky Resort. Each location features shopping, dining, and ticket and lesson offices. Explore all the base areas at Big Sky Resort: Mountain Village, Madison Base, and Montage.
