We understand your plans can change after you've booked your stay or experience at Big Sky Resort. Find all the details on our cancellation policies below.
To cancel a dining reservation, please contact the restaurant .

Lift Tickets, Rentals, Lessons, and Activities
Lift tickets, rentals, lessons, and activities can all be cancelled for a full refund if the request is made 48 hours before the product start date. If the request is made within 48 hours, an E-Voucher will be issued to use towards another purchase at shop.bigskyresort.com.

Season Passes
All Season Passes may be cancelled for any reason before the start of the season. Once the season begins, passes may only be cancelled due to medical reasons preventing you from using your pass.
Season passes cannot be refunded. For qualifying cancellation requests, an E-Voucher will be issued with the price paid for your pass to be used towards a pass for the next winter season.

Lodging
Our lodging cancellation policy is dependent on your stay dates (winter/summer) and whether you have Travel Protection for your reservation. To cancel your reservation, please call our reservations team at (800) 548-4486.
Winter Cancellation Policy
November - April
An advanced deposit of 20% of your total is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Final payment is due 30 days before arrival. If you need to cancel, half of your deposit is refundable 30 days or more before arrival.
There will be no refunds for cancellations within 30 days of arrival.
Summer Cancellation Policy
May - October
An advanced deposit of 20% of your total is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Final payment is due 14 days prior to arrival. Should you need to cancel, half of your deposit is non-refundable outside of 14 days of arrival.
There will be no refunds for cancellations within 14 days of arrival.
For guests staying at the White Water Inn, cancelations outside of 72 hours, half the deposit is non-refundable. Within 72 hours, 100% is non-refundable.

Summer and Winter Lift Tickets, Mountain Sports Lessons, Equipment Rentals, and Activities
These Big Sky Resort products are eligible for our Activity Cancelation Policy if the following qualifications are met:
- Cancellation requests must be made 48 hours prior to the product's specified start date.
- Cancellation requests must be made through the cancelation form. Please do not call us to request a cancellation.
- The cancellation request must include the last four digits of the card used to make the original purchase.*
- Guests must agree to authorize the payment to the original credit card that was used.
Cancelation Request made within 48 hours of start date:
Requests made within 48 hours of the specific start date of any product will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We understand that unexpected circumstances happen, and we do our best to provide our guests with the flexibility to move activities that have specific start dates to other dates in the current season. We may also provide E-credit vouchers for guests to rebook in the future for some of the following circumstances: injuries or sickness preventing use, delayed or canceled flights, or road closures.
Cancellation requests may take up to 7 days to process, and the credit card company may take an additional 7-10 business days to process the return.
*Due to credit card security measures, we cannot issue refunds to a card other than the original that was used to make the purchase. In this case, we will issue an E-Voucher with the value of the refund to be used towards another purchase at shop.bigskyresort.com.
The start date of your purchase is the first date that that product is valid. For single-day rentals, lessons, tickets, or activities, it will be the date of the reservation. For multi-day reservations, it will be the first date.
You can find the start date for your product in your confirmation email. The "Date" field will specify the start date for each product in the transaction.
If your product starts more than 48 hours in advance, we ask that you cancel the original product and rebook. If you are within 48 hours of your start date and need to change the date of your product due to travel impacts or other circumstances, please contact us directly.
Please note that there may be changes to the price originally paid and the price at the time of rebooking. If your product has already started, we are unable to make any changes.

Log on to your Big Sky Resort Shop account.

Add your desired products to your cart and continue to checkout. Note that E-Vouchers for cancellations can only be used for the person who made the original purchase.

Follow the steps through checkout until you reach the Payment screen.

On the Payment page, add your number to the Gift Card or Voucher Number box and hit "Apply".
Desktop: The box is on the right side of the screen.
Mobile Device: Click 'Order Summary' to view the box. It will appear above the Credit Card field along with your BoyneRewards.
The discount will be applied to your purchase total. If there is a credit left over on your E-Voucher or gift card, it can be used toward another purchase. Note that E-Vouchers have an expiration date.
Please note that you'll need to provide a billing address, but credit card information is only required if there's a remaining balance or if you have opted in for Tram Autocharge. Once you've entered the required information, click "Continue" and then "Confirm Order." You'll receive a confirmation email with the details of your purchase.

To modify a lodging reservation, please call Central Reservations at (800) 548-4486 to speak with an agent. Modifications cannot be done online. Changes to stay dates and property/room type can be made without penalty outside of 30 days prior to arrival.
Season Pass Cancellation FAQs
All Big Sky Resort season pass products purchased are eligible, as are Twin Tips Tickets. Promotional products, lift tickets, community business passes, and employee passes are not eligible for this program.
Prior to opening day, November 27, 2024, you can request a Pass Cancellation for any reason.
Once the season begins, Pass Cancellations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for season-ending injuries. Pass Cancellation Requests must be submitted by March 31 of the current season. Requests made after this date will not be considered.

Gold Passes can be cancelled but the value of the Ikon Pass add-on does not get included in the E-Voucher credit. If the Gold Pass is cancelled, the Ikon Pass will also be cancelled.
If you have a Season Pass E-Voucher* from canceling your 2023-24 season pass, follow the instructions below to apply your credit toward a 2024-25 season pass at checkout.
*This voucher can only be used in one transaction by the original purchaser before December 1, 2024.
You will need the Season Pass E-Voucher number. To find this number, use our instructions on how to access E-Voucher codes.
- Log on to your Big Sky Resort Shop account.
- Add your desired Winter 2024-25 season pass product(s) to your cart and continue to checkout. Note that Season Pass E-Vouchers can only be used by the original season passholder for only one transaction.
- Follow the steps through checkout until you reach the Payment screen.
- On the Payment page, add your Season Pass E-Voucher number to the Gift Card Voucher Number box and hit "Apply".

The E-Voucher amount will be deducted from your purchase total. If your E-Voucher does not cover your purchase, the remaining funds will be forfeited. Season Pass E-Vouchers expire on December 1, 2024.

No, cancelled pass values are non-transferable and may be used for the original passholder only.
Cancelling other Products or Reservations
Mountain Collective Reservations can be cancelled or changed online.
- Go to the Mountain Collective page of our online store.
- Here, select your age group and any start date.
- Enter your MCP ID and click validate. You will then see your current reservations become visible in the 'Reserved Days' box.
- Under each day reserved, there is a cancel button. Click the cancel button.
- You can now make new reservations if you are trying to change your dates.
If you do not see a cancel button for your reservation date, the reservation may still be in your cart and not yet completed. To cancel reservations on the day of your reservation, or after the date has passed, please call Mountain Services at (800) 548-4486 and press option 1, then option 6.
Cancel reservations 24 hours in advance on the Solace Spa website. Reservations that are not canceled 24 hours in advance are charged in full.
Please call the Big Sky Resort Golf Course at 406-995-5780 to cancel or make changes to your tee time.
Golf Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be made 72 hours before the scheduled reservation to avoid being charged for each player booked. Any changes to the number of players or the amount of tee times reserved must be done at least 48 hours prior to the reservation to avoid being charged for each player booked.
