Lone Peak Expedition Closed Summer 2025
The Lone Peak Expedition and Lone Peak Tram will be closed for the summer of 2025 to facilitate the construction of the Explorer Gondola and the new tram top terminal enclosure and scenic viewing platform. We appreciate your patience as we work to unveil an all-new base-to-summit experience on Lone Mountain and look forward to welcoming guests in the summer of 2026.
Group at the top of Lone Peak

Ride up the Swift Current 6 chairlift, then hop in a safari-style expedition vehicle that will drive you to the base of the Lone Peak Tram. Ride the tram to the top of Lone Peak at 11,166 feet above sea level. The views from the Tram are spectacular and only surpassed by those at the very top. On a clear day, you can see across three states, two national parks, and many mountain ranges.

Our guides will educate you on local geography, flora, and fauna. If you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the Billy and Nanny Goats that call Lone Peak home. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking views.

  • Tour lasts around 1.5 hours.
