Lift Ticket Details
If you already have a Sky Card from a previous visit, welcome back! You can load your new lift ticket or season pass onto the card at checkout, and you can head straight to the lifts when you arrive. If you’re not seeing your Sky Card in your account, see our Help Center for instructions on reconnecting it to your profile.
Lift tickets and season passes are loaded onto reusable Big Sky Resort Sky Cards. Scan your Sky Card at the lift gates to ride the lift.
If you already have a Sky Card, load your ticket or pass onto the card at checkout and head straight to the lifts. *Summer activity participants, meet your guide with your Sky Card.
If you don’t have a Sky Card yet, purchase one during checkout for $5. Pick up new or replacement Sky Cards at a Sky Card Express Box when you arrive. Scan the QR code in your confirmation email at the box. Find Sky Card Express Box locations and learn more about using your Sky Card on the mountain on our website.
Big Sky Resort does not mail Sky Cards.
Lift tickets*, rentals, lessons, and activities can all be cancelled for a full refund if the request is made 48 hours before the product start date. For requests made within 48 hours, an E-Voucher may be issued to use towards another purchase at shop.bigskyresort.com if documentation is provided for why you are unable to participate.
*Kircliff scenic tickets do not qualify for this cancellation policy.

Winter lift tickets, summer bike haul, and summer scenic lift tickets are date-specific. Winter Kircliff scenic tickets work for any 1 day during the winter operations.

You need a ticket to ride magic carpet lifts. Beginner Tickets give you access to surface lifts, Explorer mid-station (Mountain Village), and Derringer Lift (Madison Base). Buy them day-of at ticket windows for a discounted rate.

12:30 P.M. Half-Day Lift Tickets are available for lift access from 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. for a discount off the 1-day window ticket price. Half-Day tickets are available for same-day purchase starting at 12:00 p.m. at lift ticket windows. Half-Day tickets will not be available on days when full-day tickets are sold out.
