Ikon Pass FAQs

Secure your Ikon Pass into an empty zipper pocket and head straight to the lifts. You can use your Ikon Pass to go through the gates and load the lifts! Reservations are no longer required.

 

Can I pick up my Ikon Pass at Big Sky?

Do Ikon passes include tram access?

Ikon Passes do not include Tram scenic rides or ski/snowboard rides. Ikon Passholders must enable Autocharge and provide a valid form of payment on their Big Sky Account at shop.bigskyresort.com.

 

How to Enable Tram Autocharge

Share 25% off window rate lift tickets to Big Sky Resort with friends & family! Access and share your discount codes through your Ikon Pass account. Once they've received their code, they can purchase lift tickets in our online store.

The Big Sky Freestyle and Ikon Session passes are similarly priced and provide similar access to Big Sky with the same blackout dates. There are some key advantages between the two:

  • Freestyle passes include Lone Peak Tram access for ski/snowboard and scenic access; Ikon Session passes must enable Tram Autocharge and pay per tram ride.
  • The Freestyle pass gets passholders discounts and perks!
  • Freestyle passes can add on the Big Sky Resort Twin Tips pass for unlimited early and late season riding during Winter 2026-27.
  • Freestyle passes have 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-day options; Ikon Session passes offer 2, 3, or 4 days.
  • Freestyle passes can be used at any Boyne Resort; Ikon Session passes can be used at any Boyne Resort and select Ikon Pass resorts.

 

We can issue you a new or replacement Ikon Pass in our Mountain Services offices in the Snowcrest Building or at Madison Base for $5.20. Please be sure to have signed your waiver and uploaded a photo to your Ikon account before arrival.
